The Segment with Classifier feature, which is available on the Segment tab, lets you automatically segment datasets with any of the classifiers that you created or downloaded for trainable segmentation. See Segmentation Trainer for information about creating and training classifiers.
Segment with Classifier panel
The following options — Preview, Segment, and Compare — are available on the Segment with Classifier panel.
Preview… Lets you view a segmentation preview generated using the currently selected classifier, as shown in the following illustration.
Segment… Lets you automatically segment dataset(s) with the currently selected classifier. The resulting regions of interest will added to the Data Properties and Settings panel for further analysis.
Compare… The Compare option lets you submit a screen capture of your image data to the Infinite Toolbox and then automatically generate segmentation previews using all of the classifiers available for download. See Infinite Toolbox for more information about the Infinite Toolbox.
To use this feature, first click the Compare button and then open the Image Classification Results page. You can then choose your dataset to view the comparative results.
The image data you select must match the requirements for the classifier you intend to use for segmentation. For example, if the number of input datasets for the classifier is two, then you must select two datasets to access that classifier.
By default, the panel is available on the Segment tab.
You can adjust the opacity of the preview results with the Preview Opacity slider, as well as preview segmentation results on any 2D view of the selected dataset.
The resulting regions of interest are added to the Data Properties and Settings panel (see ROI Properties and Settings for information about managing regions of interest).
